About The Position

The Wyoming Veteran's Home is seeking a motivated LPN to provide quality health care to persons with mental health, dementia, and medical needs in a home-like setting. Our mission is to stabilize and help the persons we care for attain and maintain their highest functional level. This is a full-time position. Requirements

Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Wyoming
Associate's Degree (typically in Nursing)
0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
Must be able to: Lift medical/patient equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about 50 lbs.
Must be able to: Work evenings, nights, and /or weekends when the situation requires it.
Annual influenza vaccination is required, and annual testing for tuberculosis.
Employees will be expected to follow all rules and requirements established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding COVID-19.
Pre-employment drug testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions (direct patient care positions are considered safety-sensitive).
Drug and alcohol testing will be conducted in any position if reasonable suspicion exists.

Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing services to residents in chronic and acute care settings.
Performs nursing assessments, diagnoses, treatment & evaluation of ill and disabled persons.
Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
Assists patients in ADLs (Activities of Daily Living).
Trains and assigns work to CNAs.
