About The Position

The LPN/RN will provide initial patient care, charting, and education to patients. They will also assist the physician when needed, stock exam rooms, and maintain clean facilities for patient care. This role involves direct patient interaction and support within a medical office setting.

• Must be an LPN or RN capable of working a nursing position.

• Must have appropriate certification or licensure.

Nice To Haves

• Previous medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial patient care, including trauma assessment and triage of patient calls.
• Obtain and chart vital statistics and administer injections.
• Provide patient instruction and education materials.
• Make and chart appointments for out-of-office exams.
• Call patients with test results.
• Perform procedures such as nebulizers, spirometry, ear lavage, and catheterization as needed.
• Order various procedures and labs as directed by the physician.
• Assist the physician during pelvic and breast exams, and minor procedures.
• Keep the physician informed of their daily schedule.
• Dispense oral or injectable medications at the physician's direction.
• Provide educational leadership to LPN and MOA staff.
• Complete encounter forms.
• Clean and supply patient rooms.
• Wrap and autoclave clean instruments.
• Prepare laundry for pick-up.
• Perform individual duties as requested/assigned by the Nursing Supervisor, such as preparing ER kits, skin/joint trays, and ENT/eye trays.
