What Makes This Role Special As a nurse at Messiah Lifeways, you play a key role in ensuring exceptional resident care while leading and supporting your neighborhood’s care team. Ideal candidates must have previous rehab experience or a passion for supporting this work and must be willing to work 6:45pm to 7:15am with a rotating weekend and holiday assignments.
Requirements
- Current LPN or RN license.
- Certified in CPR by an approved program that meets state and federal regulation.
- 1 year clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay organized and focused in a dynamic environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous rehab experience or a passion for supporting this work.
- Experience with EHR systems and basic technology tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centered nursing care to residents.
- Lead and support nursing team members on your assigned neighborhood and shift.
- Observe, assess, and document resident conditions while ensuring families and physicians are kept informed.
- Oversee and implement individualized care plans from admission through ongoing updates.
- Foster a safe, positive, and relationship-centered environment for residents and staff.
- Coordinate appointments, transportation, and interdepartmental communication.
- Support team accountability, including initiating disciplinary procedures when needed.
