About The Position

This is a part-time position for LPNs or RNs interested in working every Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Candidates must have full availability on the days they express interest in. This role does not offer alternating weekends off. The pay rate for LPNs is $30.50/hour and for RNs is $36.50/hour.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Active unrestricted license as Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Florida
  • Experience in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Effectively communicate at all levels, write, and speak English
  • Able to work in the US and not require Visa Sponsorship now or in the future
  • Full availability each week for the days they express interest in (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night)

Responsibilities

  • Comply with nursing policies and procedures to ensure nursing standards are met.
  • Promote optimal health for clients.
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician’s orders and in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Administer medications via all routes, including controlled substances.
  • Assist clients with all health and medical devices, including but not limited to glasses, hearing devices, tracheotomies, G/J tubes, colostomies, urostomies, apnea monitors, CPAP machines, ventilators, oxygen, oxygen concentrators, nebulizer machines, suction devices, suctioning toothbrushes, etc.
  • Monitor clients for seizures, medication side effects, signs and symptoms of illness, and provide necessary nursing interventions.
  • Inform Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing and/or physician of health status changes/accidents, and injuries of clients.
  • Notify Director of Nursing or Health Care Coordinator of emergency situations.
  • Complete all required documentation including but not limited to assessments, nurses’ notes, tracking forms, charting, incident reports, monthly/quarterly reports, etc.
  • Assist with quality assurance reviews and file documents in charts when requested.
  • Complete medication validation and documentation as required by APD (65G-7) guidelines.
  • Assist with Respiratory Therapy and IV Therapy as needed, to include pushing IV medications and mixing of IV medications.
  • Assist with clinical evaluations and assessment of medication administration and/or understanding of medical procedures of clients.
  • Ensure client’s mealtime procedures and therapeutic positioning procedures, including client transfers, are followed.
