LPN/RN Pediatric School Nurse – Mon–Fri Days
About The Position
Castor Home Health Solutions is hiring an RN or LPN to provide 1:1 nursing care for a child during the school day in East Moline. This is a great opportunity for a nurse looking for a consistent weekday schedule without nights, weekends, or a large patient assignment. This case involves G-tube care only, with no trach or ventilator care required. The nurse will attend school with the patient and build a meaningful relationship with one child and family. This is a consistent, long-term case with paid hands-on training and 24/7 clinical support. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN or LPN license
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- A dependable and compassionate approach to care
- Interest in working one-on-one with a pediatric patient
Nice To Haves
- Previous private duty nursing experience is not required
Responsibilities
- G-tube care and feedings as ordered
- Medication administration and treatments
- Monitoring your patient's condition throughout the school day
- Communicating with family, school staff, and the Castor clinical team
- Completing required nursing documentation
- Providing compassionate, dependable 1:1 care
