This role involves providing clinical care to office patients under the direct supervision of a clinician. The position manages the clinician's daily schedule and patient flow, greets and escorts patients, obtains vital signs, and inputs clinical information into the electronic health record. Responsibilities include assisting clinicians with procedures, preparing and maintaining exam rooms, managing supplies, administering injections, ensuring timely communication, coordinating care, and resolving patient concerns. The role also involves participating in meetings and training, staying current with healthcare systems, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and providing clerical support such as scheduling, registering patients, scanning records, and answering phones. The ability to float to other MACC practices is required. Additionally, the role assists with assessing patient needs, coordinating care, and verifying clinician's orders for tests and procedures. Providing patient and family teaching using evidence-based methods and triaging walk-in patients are also key duties. Maintaining communication and collaboration with the interprofessional team for safe transitions and continuity of care is essential. This position is eligible for a Sign-On Bonus.
