About The Position

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, performs patient care activities within the scope of the law and functions as an integral part of the nursing team. Works with the registered nurse in caring for critically ill patients and those requiring detailed instruction or complex treatments. These may include newborn, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. The role is self-directed in providing sub-acute care or performing routine duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
• Minimum one year of LPN experience.
• Current registration with New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
• American Heart Association BLS required.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical experience preferred.
• Experience in a medical practice environment strongly preferred.
• American Heart Association ACLS recommended within one (1) year.
• 4 hours of stroke education required annually.
