With deep roots in Western Massachusetts and a growing presence in communities throughout the state, we are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medication Assisted Treatment/Opioid Treatment Program (MAT/OTP) team and help advance our mission of empowering people to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Requirements

Current Massachusetts Board of Registration license as a Licensed Practical Nurse required
Demonstrates proficiency in applying the nursing process to individuals served and their families
Able to collaborate with and appropriately delegate to other caregivers
Knowledgeable in utilization/review standards, quality assurance, and CARF standards
Able to understand, empathize and work effectively with an addicted population, including those with co-occurring disorders
Working knowledge of the ethics and legal parameters of substance use disorder treatment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

Work under the supervision of the Medical Director and Nursing Director, maintaining practical nursing professional standards of care
Prepare and administer medication as ordered by the Medical Director or Program Physician accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining accurate accounting of all medication received and dispensed
Chart medication administration in nurse's notes accurately and in a timely manner, documenting nursing care provided and maintaining appropriate records related to individuals' progress and activities
Ensure the safekeeping of all medication stock and associated records required by State, Federal, and DEA guidelines
Dedicate the majority of scheduled work hours to medication administration activities, with remaining time allocated to other duties as assigned by the Medical Director or Nursing Director
Conduct urine collection and processing, read test results as ordered by Program Physicians, and complete all associated documentation
Perform thorough biophysical, psychosocial, and spiritual assessments of individuals in recovery from substance use, recognizing the unique needs of dually diagnosed individuals and special populations
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with members of the health care team, providing care with kindness and sensitivity that preserves individuals' autonomy, dignity, and rights
