The 4 West Tower Med/Surg Unit at Hillcrest Hospital sees a diverse patient population requiring medical, surgical and telemetry attention. As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program
Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Or the American Red Cross

Responsibilities

Collect, document and report patient data and observations to the RN or authorized directing health care provider.
Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
Perform routine laboratory tests.
Educate patients and family members.
