About The Position

Gateway Rehab Center is hiring a full-time LPN or RN at its Center Township, Pennsylvania location. The schedule will vary. Nurses provide direct patient nursing care, including medication administration and therapeutic treatments, at an extended care facility treating people with substance use disorders. The role also includes documenting care, participating in nursing-care planning and evaluation, coordinating with other departments, and providing patient health education.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current state licensure as a registered nurse or practical nurse.
CPR certification.
Be skilled and physically able to perform necessary medical interventions when needed.
Demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and leadership skills necessary to take responsibility for nursing-related patient care.
Pass a Pennsylvania criminal background check.
Obtain Pennsylvania Child Abuse and FBI fingerprinting clearances.
Pass a drug screen.
Complete a two-step TB test.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in the nursing field preferred.

Responsibilities

Administer medications.
Carry out prescribed therapeutic treatments.
Document nursing observations and patient care rendered.
Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
Coordinate with GRC departments as appropriate.
