About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant to serve in their rheumatology practice at the Brainerd Clinic in Brainerd, Minnesota. This LPN or CMA works 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations required. A $2500 sign-on bonus is available. Requirements

• Education as required for licensure.
• LPN: Current LPN licensure in the state of Minnesota upon hire.
• CMA: Certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire.
• CMA: Must pass certification within two attempts.
• BOTH: AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
• Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.
• Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.
