LPN or Medical Assistant - 32 Hours Weekly - Infusion Center
About The Position
Essentia Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant to serve in the infusion center at our South University Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota. This LPN or CMA works Monday through Friday with one weekday off. Shifts start between 7:30 am and 8:30 am, and end between 4 pm and 5 pm, varying based on patient scheduling for the day. No weekend, holiday, or on-call rotations are required. Employees scheduled 24+ hours weekly enjoy a comprehensive benefits package. Requirements
- LPN: Valid North Dakota LPN license upon hire.
- LPN: Minnesota LPN license required within 3 months of hire.
- CMA: Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire.
- Must pass certification within two attempts.
- CMA: Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire/transfer.
- Clinical Assistant can NOT administer medication prior to being registered as a MAIII through the ND BON.
- BOTH: AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities
- Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory and/or home care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
- Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.
- Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.
