About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant to serve in our family practice at our Park Rapids Clinic in Park Rapids, Minnesota. This LPN or CMA works 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Typically this employee will work three days a week, but is a flex employee who may be required to increase or decrease their schedule without notice. No holiday or on-call rotations are required, but two Saturday shifts will be required every six months.

Requirements

• Education as required for licensure.
• Current LPN licensure with the Minnesota state board of nursing upon hire.
• Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire. Must pass certification within two attempts.
• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
• Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.
• Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.
