About The Position

This role involves performing a variety of patient care activities and comfort measures for assigned urgent care patients, as directed by the provider. The position is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing practice, managing supplies and equipment under the direction of the provider in charge, and promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel from other departments. For Medical Assistants, responsibilities include general office duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing referrals, ordering supplies, and calling in prescriptions. They also assist physicians in providing direct patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Practical Nurses, currently licensed in the State of Ohio, and BLS certified is required.
• Graduate from an accredited school for Medical Assistants or proof of certification as a Medical Assistant.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an Urgent Care preferred.
• Prior experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
