About The Position

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Medical Assistants (MA) assist in providing excellent patient care by assisting physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office settings. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by the physician.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program and High school or Equivalent (for LPN candidates)
  • Current, valid Arizona LPN license or compact state LPN/LVN license (for LPN candidates)
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification (for LPN and MA candidates)
  • High School or Equivalent (for MA candidates)
  • Must meet one of the following three criteria for MA candidates: Attended an accredited Medical Assistant training program by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools; Has Medical Assistant Certification issued by National Healthcareer Association (CCMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA), or American Medical Certification Association (CMAC); Completed a medical services training program of the Armed Forces of the United States.
  • Able to distinguish appropriate colors.
  • Ability to work above or below shoulder level.
  • Life to 50 pounds.
  • Walk or be on feet 90% of the day.
  • Expected duties have routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, to chemicals, biological, and radioactive substances.
