This is a day-shift position, Monday through Friday— no weekends or holidays required! Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant program.
Current CPR/AED Certification as a Healthcare Provider.
Active LPN license, CMA, or RMA credentials.
Experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred.
Experience with insurance pre-certification process preferred.
Required Vaccinations per IDPH, CDC and CMS
Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Room patients, obtain vitals, collect medical history, and review medications.
Communicate with patients regarding test results, orders, appointments, and follow-ups.
Process prescriptions, medication refills, and coordinate with pharmacies.
Process orders for outpatient testing (lab, diagnostic exams) and assist with scheduling.
Maintain and update patient medical records.
Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as directed by provider.
Perform office testing and provide patient education.
Schedule procedures and surgeries (EGD, colonoscopy, MRI, treadmill, CT).
Work with insurance companies regarding referrals, diagnoses, and coding issues.
