About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This is a full-time position with day shifts, working 8 hours per day for a total of 40 hours per week. The role offers a competitive salary range of $20.24 - $28.68, with a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 for eligible applicants. This is a union position within the Family Medicine department. Requirements

  • Must have graduated from a school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility.
  • Requires current licensure as a practical nurse in the state/states of practice.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in practical nursing is preferred.
  • Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.
  • Documents a thorough medical history from patient.
  • Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered.
  • Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Counseling patients and family members, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans.
  • Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting.
  • In departments where applicable, responsibilities may include patient scheduling, insurance and guarantor validation, and verification of demographic information.
  • Additional tasks may involve coordinating provider schedules across multiple locations and managing daily scheduling adjustments.
