About The Position

This role involves knowing and using the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to individual patients. It requires collaboration with other members of the healthcare team, evaluating response to interventions and patient status toward goal achievement, and accepting delegated nursing measures for which the individual is prepared, qualified, and licensed to perform.

Requirements

• Graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) LPN license.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Successful completion of orientation required.

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient‌های care policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the sterile field.
• Organize and ensure availability of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout the surgery.
• Perform instrument, sponge, and sharps counts with the circulating nurse.
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for the next case.
