About The Position

This is a full-time 32-hour position located at O'Bleness Hospital in Athens, Ohio. The office hours are from 7 am to 5 pm, and the LPN will be scheduled according to the needs of the clinic. The position requires flexibility, a positive attitude, and strong teamwork skills. The role involves providing nursing care to patients and families across the health-illness continuum in various healthcare settings, collaborating with the healthcare team. The LPN is accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates nursing tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) according to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. This position serves as a resource for other associates, may communicate instructions, perform minor scheduling, and inspect work. It does not involve hiring, firing, discipline, promotion, demotion, transfer, or appraisal, but the LPN may be consulted by higher management in these areas. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School or GED (Required)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - National Council of State Boards of Nursing
  • Must be flexible, positive and a strong team player.
  • Newly licensed LPNs will be considered if they have a strong experience in a Medical Assistant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings.
  • Collaborates with the health care team.
  • Is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Delegates nursing tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
