About The Position

Wilson Health is looking for a direct hire Wilson Health Medical Group – LPN - OB Coordinator for our location in Sidney, Ohio (North Dayton, Ohio) area. The Under the direction of the physician, the OB Coordinator will assess the obstetrical patient and provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services for this patient. The patient population would include the adolescent patient and the young-middle aged adult patient.

Requirements

  • All LPN's are required to maintain an active clear license with the State of Ohio.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience working in the medical field as an LPN preferred
  • Experience in the care of the obstetrical patient preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Makes an assessment of and determines patient’s health related needs.
  • Educates the patient, under physician supervision, on topics related to their medical condition.
  • Administers medications per physician’s orders and performs various diagnostic testing such as, but not limited to: UA’s, venipuncture, NST’s and ultrasound.
  • Communicates physician’s orders to various entities and departments as well as to patients and their families.
  • Update medical record, including medications and allergies, ensuring medical record is legible, accurate, concise and appropriate.
  • Communicates with patients regarding laboratory results while educating the patient and their family in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Will be required to perform quality control on medical testing equipment, as well as, maintaining logs of said controls.
  • Assists in filing, fax and phone management as opportunity allows.
  • Goals/Accomplishments achieved this performance period.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned within scope of responsibility.
