About The Position

The Nurse Manager is a qualified, experienced, and multi-task-capable Licensed Nurse covering 2nd and 3rd shift as coordinator for skilled and assisted living and IL Clinic. The primary purpose of your job description is to assist in the planning, organizing, developing, and coordinating of Nursing Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, within the individual’s scope of practice, as applicable, and as may be delegated by the DON/designee or Administrator, to assure that an acceptable degree of quality resident care can be maintained.

Requirements

  • Must be, as a minimum, a graduate of an accredited RN or LPN school of nursing.
  • Must have, as a minimum, training in a hospital, skilled nursing community, or other related medical community.
  • Understanding of regulations governing long term care.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse unencumbered in the state of North Carolina.
  • C.P.R. certification.
  • Must possess a valid and current RN or LPN license in the state in which the community is located.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
  • Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
  • Possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and coordinate professional and non-professional personnel.
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc. of the nursing service department.

Nice To Haves

  • Training in rehabilitation and restorative nursing practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, organizing, developing, and coordinating of Nursing Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Assure that an acceptable degree of quality resident care can be maintained.
  • Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.
  • Maintain the appearances of nursing areas.
  • Regular inspection of nursing units for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
  • Lead and mentor a team.
