LPN: Methadone Dispensing Nurse
About The Position
Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team at the Outpatient Clinic in New Bern, NC. This role is integral to a collaborative and supportive team focused on transforming the lives of individuals seeking assistance for substance use. The primary purpose of the Nurse is to provide patients with services including screening, medication/prescription management, assisting the treatment team, treatment after-care, and referral services. This position will provide medication and medical assistance to mental health and substance abuse clients as well as offer guidance to Medical Assistants. The nursing professional will work in collaboration with other clinical professionals to facilitate positive outcomes for clients, maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and client medication logs, and assist other staff members in maintaining a therapeutic and healthy clinical environment for all clients.
Requirements
- An active, unrestricted Nursing License to practice in North Carolina (LPN)
- Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation for work-related travel
Nice To Haves
- Prior mental health experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide patients with services including screening, medication/prescription management, assisting the treatment team, treatment after-care, and referral services.
