About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced LPN – Medical Surgical to provide patient-centered care in an acute care Med/Surg setting. The LPN will work under the supervision of an RN while managing assigned patients, administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and supporting the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Requirements
- Active New York State LPN License
- BLS Certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Acute Care Medical Surgical experience within the last 2 years
- Ability to independently manage patient assignments with RN support
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

- Experience working in acute care hospital settings
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical environment
- Perform vital signs, pain assessments, and intake/output monitoring
- Administer medications including oral, IM, SQ, NG/G-tube, ear and eye drops
- Monitor blood glucose levels and assist with IV therapy using infusion pumps
- Provide oxygen administration via nasal cannula
- Perform Foley catheter insertion and specimen collection
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and drain management
- Monitor telemetry and perform 12-lead EKGs
- Maintain infection control and isolation precautions
- Communicate patient status changes to RN and physicians
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Float to other appropriate units as needed
