This position is for an LPN on a Medical Oncology Specialty Unit. The unit has 30 beds and serves patients aged 18 and older. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 4-6 patients to 1 RN. The department offers support from the Oncology Nursing Society, an Active Department Shared Governance, and a Mentor/Mentee Program. Frequent nursing skills include oncology skill set (inpatient chemotherapy and radiation), palliative and end-of-life care, and general medical patients. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is available with a 3-year commitment for RNs with over 1 year of experience. Relocation assistance is also offered: $5,000 for distances over 100 miles and $2,500 for distances between 50 and 100 miles. A BSN bonus of $2,500 is available for external applicants and RNs with over 1 year of experience.
