About The Position

The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed hospital in Manchester, TN, and we are looking for compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses to join our Med Surg team. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited LPN program
Current Tennessee LPN license & BLS certification
Basic computer skills
Ability to interpret EKGs, lab results, and clinical data
Strong written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more & stand and walk for extended periods
Reliable attendance and dependability

Nice To Haves

One year of hospital experience preferred
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and reassessments for patients of all ages (pediatric to geriatric) under RN supervision
Assess, reassess, manage, and educate patients on pain management
Monitor cardiac rhythms, dysrhythmia and recognize changes in patient status
Perform point-of-care testing per Clinical Laboratory’s & patient care unit’s policies and procedures and interpret results
Administer medications safely and manage IV therapy (prepare, hand, monitor and discontinue) within scope of practice
Follow the 5 medication rights and reduce the potential for medication errors
Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
Deliver safe, patient-centered care while addressing individual psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs
Provide age-appropriate care and patient/family education
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve quality outcomes
Support unit operations, mentor new team members, and assist with staff training
