About The Position

Performs professional nursing care and services for assigned physician(s) or department(s) under the general policies and procedures established by FPG. Under supervision of the physician(s), participates in providing health promotion, health maintenance, and management of illnesses. Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care and provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from clinic services. Responsible for performing a variety of clinical duties including but not limited to: monitoring patient flow, obtaining and documenting patient vitals, document current medications, chief complaint, performing technical laboratory functions including phlebotomy/EKG/stress testing, monitor/track/charge medical equipment, scheduling procedures and tests, and medical scribe duties.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program of practical nursing with current licensure in the state of Ohio OR High school graduate with Medical Assistant certification.
  • Ability to perform as a medical scribe.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Knowledgeable of technical application of nursing process.
  • Possess critical thinking skills, including skill in exercising initiative, judgement, problem solving, and decision making.
  • Possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and insurable under Firelands auto policy.
  • Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request.

  • Prior experience in a medical office/urgent care setting preferred.
