Website: sthsclinics.com This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician. Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Assists in covering the front desk as required. Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response. Delegates as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act. Refers to and consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns. Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.

Requirements

  • Completion of LPN/LVN nursing training from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year working as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of college or Technical School. Associate’s degree preferred
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • Current state registered license for LPN/LVN
