About The Position

University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds. We are currently seeking qualified professionals with active/clear license in the state of Florida. Previous experience in a psychiatric facility or rehabilitation program is required. POSITION SUMMARY: The LPN implements nursing care for assigned patients and assists the RN in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care. This includes demonstrating competency in strong basic patient care skills, performing EKG’s, phlebotomy, specific patient care duties, and other departmental duties as requested. Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards and philosophy. This is a day shift position (12-hour shift).

Requirements

BLS (current upon hire)
Current Florida LPN license
LPN Degree from accredited school
Previous experience in a psychiatric facility or rehabilitation program is required.

Responsibilities
