About The Position

Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. With the recent addition of the Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department. The Center for Wound Care provides treatment for people with chronic non-healing wounds. This comprehensive wound-healing service includes hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Essential Job Duties: Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services the Sr. ER Technician is responsible to administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department in order to ensure and maintaining smooth patient flow. The Sr. E.R. Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.

Requirements

Minimum one year experience in an acute care setting as an LVN
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
Basic organizational and computer skills.
Current Unrestricted CA Vocational Nursing License
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by American Heart Association
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) is required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Current CA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or LVN Blood Withdrawal Certification Preferred
