About The Position

Team Health and Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) in Chillicothe, Ohio. The LPN will be providing Correctional Medical care for those housed at the Ross County Jail. This is a full-time night shift position, staffing from 7p-7a, three days a week with every other weekend required. The role involves providing a range of medical care to an adult population, including primary, addiction, urgent, and behavioral health care. The position offers a large degree of medical autonomy and is considered safer than many other healthcare settings.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by a state agency or accredited by the ACEN
• A minimum of 12 months of experience in a primary care setting within the last 24 months
• Active, unrestricted OH LPN license
• BLS from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of medical care to include primary, addiction, urgent and behavioral health care
• Address needs, not wants, with evidence-based care
• Manage a vast array of medical pathology
• Work is socially meaningful as patients are socially marginalized and lack ordinary access to medical care whether due to lack of insurance, mental illness or homelessness
• Exercise a large degree of medical autonomy and free of micromanaging, with extensive nursing guidelines in place.
