About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources, in partnership with Team Health, is seeking a Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) for a part-time position in Zanesville, Ohio. The LPN will provide correctional medical care to inmates at the Muskingum County Jail. This role involves providing a range of medical care, including primary, addiction, urgent, and behavioral health services, within an adult population. The position offers a significant degree of medical autonomy and operates under extensive nursing guidelines. The work is described as socially meaningful, addressing the needs of a marginalized population with limited access to healthcare. The environment is considered safer than many other healthcare settings due to strict security protocols.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by a state agency or accredited by the ACEN
• A minimum of 12 months of experience in a primary care setting within the last 24 months
• Active, unrestricted OH LPN license
• BLS from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of medical care to include primary, addiction, urgent and behavioral health care
• Address needs based on evidence-based care
• Manage a vast array of medical pathology
• Work with a socially marginalized patient population
