LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Paramus
About The Position
Juniper Communities is hiring an LPN for its Paramus community. The role supports the community’s health and wellness operations, with a focus on residents’ functional ability, safety, and wellbeing. The nurse provides basic medical care, monitors residents, documents care, and communicates with residents, families, medical professionals, and other members of a multidisciplinary team. PRN shifts are available. Pay starts at $33.00 per hour, with higher rates available for experienced nurses. Requirements
- LPN qualification required.
- Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology.
- Perfect physical condition and stamina.
Nice To Haves
- LVN qualification (preferred, not required).
- BLS Certification (preferred, not required).
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the community’s health and wellness component to support residents’ functional ability, safety, and wellbeing.
- Assist with medication administration and documentation for residents in a senior living setting.
- Observe residents under treatment to identify progress and medication side effects.
- Monitor and record vital signs.
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living as necessary.
- Administer prescribed medications and injections, provide wound care, and perform other basic medical care tasks.
- Collect lab samples.
- Communicate with team members, residents, families, and medical professionals.
- Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
