About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This is a full-time position with day shifts at the 69th & Minnesota Family Medicine Clinic. The clinic is described as busy and fast-paced, with providers performing various procedures and OB services. The role offers opportunities for continuous learning and working to the top of one's scope. The clinic hours are 0700-1700, with no nights, weekends, or holidays. The position is not a union position. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants. The LPN role involves participating in the implementation and evaluation of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The MA role functions within administration pre-defined scope of practice guidelines per state location of practice. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges (LPN).
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications (LPN).
  • Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program (MA).
  • Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA).
  • Certification (CMA) obtained through a nationally approved certification program for medical assistant, including but not limited to, the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the Nation Health Career Association (NHCA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), etc. (MA).
  • Registration (RMA) obtained through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) also acceptable (MA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment. Re-certification as required (MA).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred (MA).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician (LPN).
  • Function within the administration pre-defined scope of practice guidelines per state location of practice (MA).
  • Educate and communicate with patients and their families (LPN).
  • Assist nursing staff and providers to deliver high-quality patient care in a positive environment (MA).
