About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) at the 26th & Sycamore Family Medicine Clinic. The LPN will participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The Medical Assistant (MA) functions within the administration pre-defined scope of practice guidelines per state location of practice. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Currently holds an unencur. LPN license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges (LPN).
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications (LPN).
  • Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program (MA).
  • Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment (MA).
  • If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing (LPN).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred (MA).

Responsibilities
