About The Position

Provides care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within the scope of license. Delivers care to assigned clients and performs direct care in accordance with an established plan of care. Delivers safe care at all times that is in line with physician orders and established nursing care standards. Maintains communication regarding patient progress with physician, supervisor, staff and family members as appropriate to the situation. Reports patient-related observations to supervising Registered Nurse (RN) on a daily basis. Administers medications and observes patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments. Provides documentation that follows the established treatment plan, supports coordination of patient care, meets regulatory requirements and ensures reimbursement. May perform point of care testing according to policies and procedures. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or educational equivalency for licensing
• One year licensed practical nurse experience
• State of Work Location: Illinois Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) And Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• State of Work Location: Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) And Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Nurse Licensure Issued by Compact State
