Marymount Hospital’s Geriatric Psych Unit offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency programs and patient services, such as medication management, structured therapeutic programming, recreational activities, nutrition and medication education, and multi-sensory stimulation therapy. As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

One year of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

Collect, document and report patient data and observations.
Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
Perform routine laboratory tests.
Educate patients and family members.
