About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. This position offers an opportunity to work shoulder to shoulder with providers. Join our General Surgery team and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across the specialties of General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Breast Surgery, and Colorectal Surgery. This dynamic position combines direct patient care, education, care coordination, and clinical support to help patients navigate their surgical journey. Responsibilities include supporting provider practices, responding to patient questions and concerns, assisting with minor procedures, and coordinating care to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
