Medina Hospital’s 2 South is a General Medicine Unit known for its compassionate, comprehensive, and patient-first patient care, highly skilled nursing team and engaging work environment. Featuring four private rooms and 14 semi-private rooms, caregivers in this unit are responsible for managing pre-surgical patients and patients needing antibiotic treatment and wound care, advanced dressing changes and bedside thoracentesis/paracentesis. As an LPN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. Caregivers choose to stay on 2 South because of the strong sense of teamwork. The team is deeply committed to providing excellent care and takes pride in the work they do. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

• One year of patient care experience

Responsibilities

• Collect, document and report patient data and observations.
• Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
• Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests.
• Educate patients and family members.
