About The Position

The Caswood Group has an immediate opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one support to a student at a local school. This role requires an experienced LPN comfortable working with elementary school-aged children. The position is for every school day, starting immediately through the end of June 2027, and follows the school calendar. The daily schedule is from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, on school days only. The ideal candidate must be able to work in an environment with young, active children who have emotional or physical disabilities, and must be reliable, punctual, and professional. Responsibilities include toileting assistance.

Requirements

Minimum of four years' experience as an LPN.
Experience working with students with emotional or physical disabilities.
Current NYS Nursing License, Active and in good standing.
Meets professional nursing standards and pertinent local, state, and federal requirements.
Must possess reliable transportation and be able to travel to and from work.
Strong clinical communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and record keeping.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one support to a student at a local school.
Work with young, active children with emotional or physical disabilities.
Assist with toileting.

Adhere to clinical communication standards.
Utilize strong organizational skills with attention to detail and record keeping.
Perform duties in a variety of environments, potentially involving exposure to allergens, blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
Sustain prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
Be able to sit and climb stairs.
Sufficiently move equipment without assistance.
