We are searching for a talented LPN-Float Pool with a $5000 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible). This position is for 40 hours per week, day shift, with hours typically between 8:00 am - 4:30 pm and 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, primarily located at Primary Care – Wareham, MA. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent is required.
  • Current LPN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) is highly desirable.
  • Six months or more experience in related setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of duties involving direct patient care, such as medication administration, patient and family teaching, rooming, and procedures in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and within the scope of practical nursing.
  • Facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic or medical office.
  • May be responsible for telephone communication with patients including communication of test results, surgery schedules, procedures and providing appropriate counsel and follow-up under the direction of a designated supervisor.
  • Utilize an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other related software to update or access patient information as appropriate.
  • Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.
  • Position requires nurse to travel to SPG Primary Care sites where there may be a staffing shortage, ensuring patient care is delivered safely and appropriately.
