About The Position

Brookdale The Colony is a 32 bed memory care community seeking an LPN - Director of Nursing (Health & Wellness Director). The Director of Nursing/Health and Wellness Director manages the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure resident’s healthcare needs are met. They ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity and ensures quality care as resident’s healthcare needs change. As Director of Nursing at Brookdale, you will utilize your leadership qualities to inspire, lead and manage the overall operation of the clinical team to provide the highest quality of care and services for our residents. You will proactively build relationships with residents, families, physicians and other healthcare providers for the coordination of exceptional personalized care. You will consistently collaborate with community leadership, mentor and engage your associates and build resident and family satisfaction.

Requirements

  • LPN license
  • Prior leadership experience in an assisted living/memory care setting.
  • LPN license with prior leadership experience in an assisted living setting.
  • Education as required to obtain state nursing license and state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN)
  • Driver’s license
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
  • Strong working knowledge of technology, proficiency in Microsoft office suite and electronic documentation.

  • Clinical leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure resident’s healthcare needs are met.
  • Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity and ensures quality care as resident’s healthcare needs change.
  • Being on call.
  • Completing assessments on incoming residents.
  • Interviewing new hires.
  • Scheduling and managing the clinical staff.
  • Inspire, lead and manage the overall operation of the clinical team to provide the highest quality of care and services for our residents.
  • Proactively build relationships with residents, families, physicians and other healthcare providers for the coordination of exceptional personalized care.
  • Consistently collaborate with community leadership, mentor and engage your associates and build resident and family satisfaction.
