About The Position

This role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, within the LPN scope of practice. The position requires collaboration with healthcare providers to coordinate medical and nursing management, performing emergency treatments, maintaining documentation, communicating effectively, and promoting patient and staff safety. The LPN/CMA will perform various nursing assessments, administer medications and treatments, educate patients and families, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • LPN scope of practice
  • LPN-C scope of practice for intravenous interventions
  • Ability to perform complete admission evaluation
  • Ability to perform comprehensive nursing assessments
  • Ability to conduct full body system analysis
  • Ability to administer and perform nursing assessment in accordance with applicable patient type
  • Ability to review, discuss, and implement health care provider orders
  • Ability to respond to patient needs in a timely fashion
  • Ability to recognize abnormal symptoms/changes in patient condition, establish priorities, and take appropriate action
  • Ability to serve as a patient advocate
  • Ability to perform patient rounding
  • Ability to evaluate patient progress toward desired outcomes prior to discharge

Responsibilities
