About The Position

The Orthopedic LPN/CMA delivers high-quality, personalized specialty care while fostering an efficient, supportive, and collaborative clinic environment that promotes growth and learning. This position is available at a 0.6-0.8 FTE (48-64 hours per pay period), with both part-time and full-time applicants welcome. The schedule consists of day shift hours, Monday through Friday, at our Staples Main Campus.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Medical Assistant program
Must have and maintain a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Medical Assistant certification
BLS Healthcare Provider certification

Nice To Haves

Prior clinic experience and familiarity with Family Medicine care
Experience with EPIC EHR preferred

Responsibilities

Completing room preparation.
Completing the rooming process with the patient.
Assisting the provider with patient care items, including cast and splint application/removal, brace fitting, wound care, suture and staple removal, patient education, and supporting the overall musculoskeletal health and recovery of orthopedic patients.
Completing documentation within EPIC system.
In-basket and phone support to the Orthopedic Care Team with the flexibility of floating when needed within the Specialty Care Team to provide coverage/support.
