About The Position

The Great Falls Clinic Hospital is seeking an LPN/CMA to join their team. This role involves providing high-quality care and exceptional service to patients, with excellent nurse-to-patient ratios allowing for more personalized care and stronger connections. The position offers a culture of teamwork, compassion, and opportunities for professional growth. The CMA is responsible for assisting in examination, treatment, or diagnostic procedures under physician direction, acting as a liaison between patients, staff, and providers, and working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Duties include taking vital signs, triaging patient calls, refilling prescriptions, completing prior authorizations, and supporting the team. The LPN is responsible for providing nursing care within their scope of licensure, also acting as a liaison and working collaboratively with the team. Duties are similar to the CMA role, with the addition of receiving direction from RNs.

Requirements

  • Appropriate Licensure/Certification (for CMA)
  • Graduate of a Nursing Program (for LPN)
  • Follows most current standards for continuing education requirements as dictated by State/Federal licensure requirements
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • A graduate of a medical assisting program and has passed the CMA/RMA Certification Examination of the America Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologists and maintains currency of the CMA/RMA credential (for CMA)
  • Current State LPN license (for LPN)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support), from a College of Technology/Nursing (for LPN)
  • Medical Terminology
  • Basic Medical Assistant Principles and Procedures (for CMA)
  • Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures (for LPN)
  • Keyboarding skills
  • Basic office skills
  • Criminal background check
  • Drug Screening
  • Health and Immunizations Screening

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in examination, treatment or diagnostic procedures as requested (after proven competency) of clinic patients under physician direction following established standards and practices.
  • Functions as the primary liaison between patients, staff and providers.
  • Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of the patient.
  • Must be able to take vital signs, triage patient calls, refill prescriptions, complete necessary prior authorizations and to help support their team of co-workers.
  • Gives direction to: CNA's and Schedulers.
  • Receives direction from: Providers, Nurses Coordinators, Clinical Managers/Supervisors (for CMA); Providers, Coordinators and Clinical Managers/Supervisors and RN's (for LPN).
