About The Position

This 100-bed hospital provides top-quality patient care to the communities in and around Martin County. Here, you will work alongside passionate physicians, nurses and other caregivers in a family-oriented, supportive environment. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you will support both the Rheumatology and Orthopaedics teams, floating between Tradition and South MOB. Some of your daily tasks will include rooming patients, processing in-basket items, administrative tasks and more. Here, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM – 5:30PM.

Requirements

Graduate of Accredited LPN program
Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Knowledge of infection control practices
Experience with technology
Computer literacy

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to patients.
Administer medication.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.
Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
Recognize changes in patients' status and report pertinent information to Charge Nurse or Physicians.
Educate patients, families and others.
Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
Follow Code Blue protocol.
Assessing; planning, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the patient's progress through the entire continuum of car in conjunction with the R.N. or physician.
