Here, you will work alongside passionate physicians, nurses and other caregivers in a family-oriented, supportive environment. At Cleveland Clinic in Florida, our patients receive complete, compassionate care. Our urologists have the highest level of training in their field — and they understand the sensitive nature of urologic care. We specialize in conditions that affect the bladder, kidneys, prostate and male genitals. With early diagnosis and treatment, survival rates for prostate cancer are greater than 90 percent. As an LPN on the team, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works 36 hours per week from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Current Florida licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Experience with technology
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of infection control practices

Nice To Haves

  • One year experience in an acute care setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients.
  • Administer medication.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.
  • Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
  • Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
  • Recognize changes in patients' status and report pertinent information to Charge Nurse or Physicians.
  • Educate patients, families and others.
  • Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
  • Follow Code Blue protocol.
