About The Position

Adena Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Clinic Tier 2 or a Medical Assistant Tier 2 for their Dermatology department in Washington Courthouse, OH. The LPN will provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN, physician, or APP, focusing on safe, patient-centered care and clinic operations. Tier 2 LPNs are expected to apply moderate to advanced-complexity clinical skills. The Medical Assistant Tier 2, an unlicensed healthcare professional, also works under direct supervision, providing direct patient care and administrative support, with Tier 2 MAs applying moderate to advanced-complexity clinical skills. Both roles are expected to exemplify organizational values of compassion, excellence, integrity, and trust.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Practical Nursing (for LPN).
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio required.
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (for MA).
  • Registered through American Allied Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) (for MA).
  • 1-2 years’ experience in medical office or similar capacity.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar capacity preferred (for LPN).
  • Medical Office experience (for LPN).

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care in a clinical setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, or advanced practice provider (APP).
  • Focuses on delivering safe, patient-centered care in compliance with established clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Contributes to optimal patient outcomes and efficient clinic operations.
  • Utilizes fundamental clinical skills and applies moderate to advanced-complexity clinical skills and knowledge in daily practice, often in high-complexity or specialized settings.
  • Performs direct patient care and administrative functions.
  • Actively collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to maintain the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Provides compassionate, respectful, and effective care while adhering to the scope of practice.
  • Works under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional (physician, APP, or RN) as a Medical Assistant.
  • Provides direct patient care and administrative support as a Medical Assistant.
  • Upholds the highest standards of quality and service as a Medical Assistant.
  • Delivers compassionate, respectful, and effective care and adheres to the scope of practice for Medical Assistants.
