About The Position

Adena Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Clinic Tier 2 or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant Tier 2 for their Pediatrics department. This full-time position involves providing direct patient care in a clinical setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, or advanced practice provider (APP). The role focuses on delivering safe, patient-centered care in compliance with established clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Tier 2 LPNs and MAs are expected to apply moderate to advanced-complexity clinical skills and knowledge, often in high-complexity or specialized settings. Responsibilities include direct patient care, administrative functions, and active collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The LPN/MA exemplifies organizational values by providing compassionate, respectful, and effective care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Practical Nursing (for LPNs).
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio required (for LPNs).
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (for MAs).
  • Registered through American Allied Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) (for MAs).
  • 1-2 years’ experience in medical office or similar capacity preferred.

  • Experience in a similar capacity 1-2 years preferred.
  • Medical Office experience.

Responsibilities

  • Works under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional (physician, APP, or RN) as a Medical Assistant.
  • Provides safe, patient-centered care in accordance with established clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements as a Medical Assistant.
  • Provides administrative support as a Medical Assistant.
  • Upholds the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Adheres to the scope of practice outlined by the Ohio Board of Nursing for LPNs.
  • Aligns with organizational values by delivering compassionate, respectful, and effective care as an MA.
