As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will ensure patient well-being, working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and front office and clinical staff. This full-time role is based in one of their location practices, primarily Stow, OH, but may require operation in other local work sites as needed. The position is in Primary Care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school for Nursing
  • Current state LPN or RN licensure
  • CPR and/or BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to employment

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of Licensed Practical Nurse experience with electronic medical records software
  • Experience performing medical back office tasks including obtaining vital signs, injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis and administering medications
  • Experience performing medical front office tasks including scheduling appointments, prior authorizations, medication refills and referrals

Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals and answer patient calls as needed
  • Perform Clinical Intake with patients to include taking and recording vital signs and patient history
  • Assist patients as needed with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exam preparation, etc.
  • Maintain clinical supplies and equipment and ensure proper storage of biohazards
  • Clean exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control
  • Assist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testing
  • Assist with allergy injections, mixing of allergy vials and allergy testing
