Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in Practical Nursing.
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio required
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program
- Registered through American Allied Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a similar capacity 1-2 years preferred.
- Medical Office experience
- 1-2 years’ experience in medical office or similar capacity.
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care in a clinical setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, or advanced practice provider (APP).
- Focuses on delivering safe, patient-centered care in compliance with established clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Contributes to optimal patient outcomes and efficient clinic operations.
- Utilizes fundamental clinical skills and applies moderate to advanced-complexity clinical skills and knowledge in daily practice, often in high-complexity or specialized settings, requiring additional training and skill validation.
- Performs direct patient care.
- Handles administrative functions.
- Actively collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to maintain the highest standards of quality and service.
- Exemplifies organizational values by providing compassionate, respectful, and effective care while adhering to the scope of practice outlined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Works under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional, i.e. physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse (RN).
- Delivers care in a clinic setting.
- Provides safe, patient-centered care in accordance with established clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Contributes to optimal patient outcomes and efficient clinic operations.
